This year, the Little Oaks provision are pleased to say that they managed to raise £40 for Sports Relief 2018. On the day, pupils and staff dressed in sports clothing and the lessons had sport themes. The weekly spelling test was all to do with sports and the Maths lesson was practical based with lots of target based throwing games and scores to add up. This was particularly handy for the challenge at the end of the day....SOAK MR MAC. Yes that's right, Mr Mac bravely(?) put himself on the line and allowed his pupils the chance to get their own back. For a small £1 donation, the pupils would get to throw up to 4 heavily soaked sponges at their defenceless teacher. Some pupils had obviously been practicing, as he was hit 4 times in the face!
We also had a short Sports Relief assembly and learned a little about where the money that is raised goes and how it is used.
Overall, a tremendous success and most importantly, everyone involved had fun.
