The ELA was recently approached by an independent art company known as Crowsnest and offered an opportunity to exhibit artwork at a local gallery in Dover.
During their first visit to My Gallery students were able to tour the current exhibition, and engage in a ‘Curating and Exhibitions’ workshop led by artist Lori Gausden-Crow.
Whilst at the gallery the group discussed the current show, identifying the elements they liked and highlighting how they would improve upon the show. This discussion progressed onto talks about their show in July and how they would prefer to organise the space.
Each student contributed towards generating a miniature exhibition, which will naturally inform the decisions they make when developing their ideas for an outcome back in centre."
